Backyard Rebuild: Paver Patio, Turf & Stone
Dirt yard rebuilt with a paver patio, oversized concrete pads set in river rock, and turf.
The Project
The backyard was bare dirt with a small existing slab and a stack of concrete pads waiting to be set. The plan was a clean, modern layout with three distinct materials instead of one big slab of concrete.
The Challenge
Laying out three materials — pavers, large-format concrete pads and turf — so the lines stayed square to the house and the wall on a yard with no existing reference edges.
A1's Solution
We built the paver patio on a compacted base under the covered porch, set the oversized concrete pads on a grid with river rock joints, and installed artificial turf between and around them. Landscape lighting and columnar shrubs were set along the wall to finish the perimeter.
The Result
A backyard with a defined patio, a walkable stone-and-turf grid and a real lawn area, all in materials that hold up to Las Vegas summers.
