New-Build Backyard: Turf, Border Wall & Planter
A bare builder-grade backyard finished with a block border, full turf lawn and a planted bed.

The Project
A new-construction home handed over with nothing but graded dirt between the block walls. The owners wanted the whole yard usable in one pass rather than in stages.
The Challenge
Bare dirt wall to wall, with no border, no planting and no defined edge between the patio slab and the yard. Everything had to be built from scratch on a tight, walled-in lot.
A1's Solution
We set a retaining-block border to define the planter run, laid weed barrier and base across the full pad, then installed artificial turf wall to wall and tight to the patio slab. The border bed was backfilled with soil and planted with shrubs.
The Result
A finished, low-water backyard the owners could use the week it was done, with a clean planted edge instead of a bare wall.
